n8n Cloud Starter includes 2,500 executions a month and Pro 10,000 or 50,000; the self-hosted Business plan runs from 40,000 to 500,000. An execution is one run of a whole workflow, and only production runs count. With monthly billing an execution costs $0.0096 on Starter, $0.006 on Pro 10,000 and $0.00288 on Pro 50,000, if you use them all.

A 30-day month. n8n's own rule of thumb: “For instance, a daily schedule would result in 30 or 31 executions per month, while one that runs every 5 minutes would result in about 8,600–8,900 executions monthly.”
What counts as an execution?
n8n's documentation: “Paid plans, whether cloud or self-hosted, have an execution limit quota. Only production executions count towards this quota.” By trigger:
- “Schedule Trigger nodes: Count one execution every time the node fires, regardless of outcome.”
- “Polling nodes (like Google Drive Trigger): Count one execution only when new data is found. Polls that return no results don't count as an execution.”
- “Webhook Trigger nodes: Count one execution for every inbound request that activates the trigger.”
Not counted: manual executions, sub-workflow executions, error workflow executions, polls that return no data, malformed or rejected requests. However many steps a workflow has, one run is one execution, which is why long workflows cost less on n8n than on per-step platforms (n8n vs Zapier).

For Cloud Starter and Pro, n8n's pricing page doesn't say. For Business and Enterprise it does: “If you exceed your quota, rest assured your workflows will continue running without interruption, but overage charges may apply if you do not upgrade to the next usage tier.”
Is there an execution limit on self-hosted n8n?
On the free Community Edition, n8n charges nothing per execution: its documentation ties the quota to paid plans: “Paid plans, whether cloud or self-hosted, have an execution limit quota. Only production executions count towards this quota.” The paid self-hosted Business plan has one, from 40,000 executions a month.
