Gumloop pricing: what Pro and its credits buy

Gumloop sells one self-serve plan: Pro, $37 a month for 20,000 credits (7,400 at the $0.005 list price plus 12,600 bonus), after a 14-day free trial. A credit is $0.005 of an agent's model, tool and compute cost, and Gumloop adds an 8% orchestration fee. Past 20,000, credits cost $0.005 each once you turn on pay as you go. Gumloop's own worked example, an agent chat of 459 credits, fits 43 times a month into Pro.

What uses credits

“Gumloop unifies billing across different model providers and 30+ services, and we use credits as the currency to pay for these services. For example, using tokens from a model provider will cost credits, as will tool calls from a paid API.” “Agent credit costs are variable. The same agent might cost 2 credits for a quick question and 200 for a deep research task.” An agent's bill is the sum of four parts:

PartWhat it coversCredits
Chat and reasoningThe model reading, thinking and writingThe model's cost at $0.005 a credit
Tool callsEach connector tool the agent uses1 per successful call, plus the tool's own charge
ComputeTime the agent spends actively working5 per minute, at least 1 per response
Orchestration feeRunning the agent loop8% of the three above, rounded up

“Reading and writing to apps like Slack, Google Sheets, and Gmail costs that 1 credit and nothing more.” “Tools that enrich or fetch external data, such as Apollo lead enrichment or Firecrawl web scraping, add their own charge on top.”

What one agent run costs

Gumloop's own example: “A chat that spent 400 credits on Chat & Reasoning, 10 on Compute, and 15 on Tool Calls pays a 34 credit fee (8% of 425, rounded up), for 459 credits in total.”

Runs Pro covers a month43215
Each run past Pro's credits$2.30$0.47

With your own key the fee is 16% of what the run would have cost, so it rises while the model credits disappear; your provider bills the tokens separately. Inside Pro's allowance this run costs about $0.85 of the $37.

What a month on Pro costs

By credits used, with pay as you go on:

Credits a monthA monthPer credit
20,000$37$0.00185
50,000$187$0.00374
100,000$437$0.00437
250,000$1,187$0.00475
500,000$2,437$0.00487
1,020,000$5,037$0.00494

And by runs of Gumloop's 459-credit example:

Runs a monthCreditsA monthPer run
104,590$37$3.70
4319,737$37$0.86
10045,900$166.50$1.67

500229,500$1,085$2.17
1,000459,000$2,232$2.23

$37 plus $0.005 for every credit past 20,000. “Pro overage is always capped. The default ceiling is 1,000,000 overage credits per billing period ($5,000), and you can set a lower cap on that page.” 1,020,000 credits is that ceiling. Pay as you go is off until you turn it on: “Your agents will stop working and you will be prompted to enable pay as you go in order to keep your agents working. Pay as you go is not enabled by default.”

Gumloop against Zapier, n8n and Make

The workflow platforms count runs, steps or modules, while a Gumloop run uses what its model, tools and compute time cost, so no single per-run comparison holds for every agent. What each charges for:

Entry prices: Gumloop Pro $37 a month for 20,000 credits; Zapier from $29.99 a month (Professional, 750 tasks); n8n Cloud from $24 a month (Starter, 2,500 executions); Make from $10.59 a month (Core, 10,000 credits). At 100 runs a month of Gumloop's example agent, Gumloop costs $166.50. See what AI steps cost on Zapier, Zapier alternatives and n8n alternatives.

Gumloop pricing: quick answers

How much does Gumloop cost?

Pro is $37 a month with 20,000 credits, after a 14-day free trial; Enterprise is priced by sales. Past the included credits, pay as you go bills $0.005 a credit, so a month of 100,000 credits costs $437.

Is Gumloop free?

There's no free plan, only a trial: “Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial of Pro. The trial requires a card, is a one-time offer per customer, and rolls into a paid Pro subscription when it ends unless you cancel first.”

What is a Gumloop credit worth?

“Credits are indexed at $0.005 each. Pro includes 7,400 + 12,600 bonus credits (20,000 total) for $37/month.” Inside Pro's allowance a credit costs you $0.00185, 37% of the list price; extra credits cost the full $0.005.

How many credits does a Gumloop agent use?

“Agent credit costs are variable. The same agent might cost 2 credits for a quick question and 200 for a deep research task.” Gumloop's worked example, 400 credits of model time, 10 of compute and 15 of tool calls plus the 8% fee, comes to 459 credits: 43 such runs fit Pro's 20,000 credits, and each one past that costs $2.30.

What happens when Gumloop credits run out?

“Your agents will stop working and you will be prompted to enable pay as you go in order to keep your agents working. Pay as you go is not enabled by default.” Pay as you go bills $0.005 a credit, up to a cap: “Pro overage is always capped. The default ceiling is 1,000,000 overage credits per billing period ($5,000), and you can set a lower cap on that page.” So the most a Pro month costs by default is $5,037.

Does your own API key make Gumloop cheaper?

For the model, yes: with your own key the model credits drop to zero and the fee rises to 16%, taken on what the run would have cost. Gumloop's example falls from 459 credits to 93, so Pro covers 215 runs instead of 43, but your model provider bills you for the tokens.

Do Gumloop credits roll over?

No: “Credits don't roll over month to month, except on Enterprise plans.”

How much is Gumloop Enterprise?

Gumloop doesn't publish it: “We work with our Enterprise teams on custom plans so that your team can scale confidently with an extremely obvious ROI. If you are interested in discussing an Enterprise plan with us, please contact our sales team.”

Is Gumloop cheaper than Zapier, n8n or Make?

It can't be priced per run, because what a Gumloop run uses depends on the model and the job.
