Make credits: what they cost, extras included

A Make credit costs $1.06 per 1,000 on Core's 10,000-credit tier ($10.59 a month) and $0.71 per 1,000 on its 300,000 tier, with monthly billing. Extra credits cost 25% more than your plan's own: 1,000 extra on the 10,000-credit Core plan cost $1.324 billed monthly, or $1.125 at the $9 yearly price. For ordinary apps a credit is what Make used to call an operation: one module run.

Before taxes. Core stops at 300,000 credits; Pro and Teams go higher and cost more per credit at the same volume (every Make tier). Make's own example: “For example, if you subscribe to a $9 plan and have 10,000 credits, 1 credit costs $0.0009 ($9 / 10,000 credits). If you decide to buy 1,000 extra credits, it costs $1.125 (1,000 credits * $0.0009 * 1.25). If you decide to buy 10,000 extra credits, it costs $11.25 (10,000 credits * $0.0009 * 1.25).”

Extra credits or the next tier?

Extras cost more per credit than the tier you're on, so past a point moving up is cheaper. With monthly billing on Core:

Billing

$14.56 a month: Core's 10,000-credit tier plus 3,000 extra credits beats the 20,000 tier at $18.82.

Each module run is a credit, the trigger included; a polling trigger uses one on every check, even when it finds nothing. Modules after the trigger run once per item it returns, so count a run per item. Routers and error handlers are free; AI modules can use more.

Make credits vs operations

“Credits replaced operations as the term for Make's billing unit. Your existing plan and pricing, including the cost of credits, remain unchanged. The cost of credits varies by plan.” For ordinary apps the two are the same number: “Non-AI apps: 1 operation equals 1 credit.” Make keeps both words: “Credits and operations are separate terms because they serve different purposes: credits help you track how much you’re spending, and operations show the outcome of your activities on the platform.”

How do extra credits work?

How many credits does Make's free plan include?

1,000 a month (“Up to 1,000 credits/mo”), and you can't buy extras on it. A scheduled scenario can run at most once every 15 minutes, which is 2,880 checks a month if it polls all month: more than the free credits on its own. Every free plan compared.
